A Look Into What's Happening in Coconut Grove!

Are you wondering what all the construction is for, and more importantly, when will it be completed?

Cocowalk is finally getting a much needed facelift! It will have a new façade and cosmetic improvements with additional entrances to the parking garage, new boutique shops, and service-oriented businesses such as salons, spas, and gourmet markets. The Cinepolis will also undergo another round of renovations. The mall will no longer have the Mediterranean look and will blend in with a sleek design. The construction has already started and its projected completion is mid-2018.

Coconut Grove Playhouse is also about to be revived!

After being closed for nearly a decade, this long overdue revival of one of Coconut Grove’s signature landmarks will take on the historic village’s spirit with a modern flare. The 20-million dollar County plan will fully restore the three-story, wing-shaped theater by renowned architect Richard Kiehnel. In addition, the newdesign will replace lost architectural features and reopen shopfronts to the street.
